Botox and Dermal Filler Course
These courses are designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses. They offer comprehensive training which provides the knowledge you need to offer these modalities in your existing practice or branch out into your own medical aesthetics practice.

Botox Course
The action of botulinum toxin A is discussed as well as techniques for injection. You will learn how to properly reconstitute Botox, mark the patient for injection, and have the opportunity to have hands on training by injecting Botox in live models.
Length of Course: 6-7 hours depending upon number of participants

Dermal Filler Course
The history of various dermal fillers is discussed as well as the types of fillers available to practitioners with contrast and comparison. Where and how to use the fillers is discussed as well. There will be training regarding using topical anesthetic as well as a dental block. You will have the opportunity to have hands on training by injecting live models with Juvederm.
Length of Course: 7-8 hours depending upon number of participants

Business and Marketing Course
The basics of how to start a practice in medical aesthetics or add to an existing practice will be discussed. You will be given information regarding informed consents, post treatment instructions, types of pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical skin care products, other treatment modalities for your practice, what to look for when hiring an aesthetician, necessary forms for the medical chart, photography equipment, types of laser and other equipment generally used, as well as other related topics.
Length of Course: Approximately 3-4 hours depending upon number of participants

Permanent Cosmetic Makeup Course
This course is designed for licensed aestheticians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians who want to exclusively provide this to their clientele or add this modality to an existing practice. Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Jackie Thompson, Board Certified Instructor for the American Academy of Micropimentation will join Carol Ann Smith, N.P. in presenting this class. Jackie has over 16 years of experience in the field of permanent makeup. This is the only course that trains exclusively with digital machines along with a Nurse Practitioner. We are proud that this advanced program has received national recognition as one of the most comprehensive and thorough in the United States for the application of permanent cosmetic makeup. This is a comprehensive, hands-on course with the newest “digital” machines and techniques for the application of permanent makeup. You will receive personalized instruction. Jackie and Carol Ann will personally instruct you, and oversee your work. It is critical that you receive sufficient hands-on experience with live models. Your kit will include needles, topical anesthetics, pigments, supplies and even your medical and consent forms on disk so you can personalize, print and edit them as you need to. You will receive enough supplies to complete fifteen procedures after the course. Also included is a cost effective resource guide along with insurance information.
Learn How To Apply:
Eyebrows: Enhancement for women or men with natural, soft hair simulation to fill sparse areas, or a total brow recreation. Learn how to identify faces shapes, measure and design brows that symmetrically frame the face.
Eyeliner: Learn to apply eyeliner for a soft and natural or a more dramatic look.
Lash Enhancement: Learn to apply color between the lashes for clients that who want their lashes to appear fuller without a lined look.
Lip liner: Learn to create symmetry for fade lip borders, scars, or to enhance natural lip line with color. Redefine uneven or thin lips.....or simply add more fullness. Wonderful for clients who want to minimize the appearance of wrinkles around the lips.
Full Lip Color: Learn specific techniques for creating a natural look or lips with more color.
Length of Course: 55 hours (20 hours home study with test, and 35 hours hands on in classroom)
5 hours Thursday evening, and 10 hours each day Friday – Sunday.
